Thats like Tony Blair denying their was any wrongdoing in the lead up to the war with Iraq!
Oh wait...
They'll both probably get away with it as well
Costa to contest charge

Once charged it's almost a formality that the person involved will be punished.
It's the FA's way.

Why has nobody realised he's only appealing so he can play vs city.....

Appeal is being fastracked and will be heard today.

Ah ok then. I guess they've got wise to tactical appeals in that case. At least the FA are doing one thing right in their long list of useless fùckups

It's going to be hard to prove that he meant it. We all agree that he did but it's not like throwing a punch or an elbow at someone where you can clearly see the intent.

Isn't that when the FA can use that brilliant statement on the balance of probability?
Gotta laugh at Scholes getting involved now. We should admire Costa? He was under extreme provocation from Liverpool and Skrtel? He should be hailed for his patience? What is he on?
The same with Keown yesterday, who claimed Costa is much braver than Suarez, and would never bite anyone etc.
Just take a look at the link below, from Costa's Atletico days. The guys gives numerous headbuts and elbows, but also (tries to) take a bite out of Ramos' finger, and twice throws his snot in the face of Ramos. The guy is a disgrace.

The he is a thug, and an unstable one too, is beyond doubt. But I can't understand why' he's fighting it. If it is a contested matter, can the FA up the suspension time beyond 3 games?

The FA upheld charge this morning, and 3 match ban will now start from tomorrow.

He's only contesting it as Chelsea will have told him to do so considering he will then be available for the City game.

The FA’s new fast track system means that teams can no longer lodge appeals and free up players from potential suspension.
