BULLSHEET phrases you hear at work

We,ve all been to one of those meetings where some management type throws in lots of bullsheet phrases to cover up the fact that he has feck all to say.

WE NEED TO GET THE DUCKS IN A ROW

WFT is that all about ? I don,t even have any ducks in the freezer let alone any in the garden. Why do we need to get them in a row ? What,s the point ?
Unless you,re Michael Flatley rehearsing his new production of RIVERDUCKS there,s no point at all.

And ... and this is a BIG AND, assuming one did manage to get them in a row, what then ? Are they just going to shrug their wings and stay there or goes flapping off in a clucking flurry ?
No sir, as the old saying goes "you can lead a duck to water, but you can,t make it stand still2 ... something like that

Stick to plain English, say what you mean

What industry do you work in HA?

I run a window company mate but probably not the sort of place you may be thinking of, a lot of the product that we fit is manufactured from top end hardwoods and it's all pre finished before installation.

Boring stuff.

I'm in a similar sort of enterprise, furniture, but high end. I recognised the likenesses in what my customer say to me, in the things your customers say to you. "You may be able to find something cheaper on ebay, pal, but although it may look the same it IS NOT THE SAME "

Bless you, my son

I'd literally just finished that, and was looking down my recent comments list for Window threads, saw this one, knew it'd strike the funny bone of a few sophisticated JAers
