Well i think Blues did well yesterday and our group is not that hard.

But the season is long with a bare thin side, really this european adventure could be a unwelcomed distraction and i am sure Yeung would rather see us get Promoted.

But i cant see that, so for me a good crack at the Europa League ie best option.

As we may get promoted again, if not this season, next season, somewhere down the line Blues will get promoted again.

But we cant say the same for Blues ever getting into Europe again, so we have to make the most of it.

Wolves, WBA will face a unlikely task of getting into the Europe League, its a miracle Blues did especially under McLeish, its just a shame he never played the 4,4,2 and gave others a chance in the League like he did in the cup.

Villa even though on a slight fall from grace will see Europa League again at some point, even under McLeish.

I think Villa should have signed Hughton instead, we played very well last night better than any footbal i have ever seen under McLeish.

We had Davies having to chase back when they had a 2 vs 1 on our keeper because after 1-0 we attacked and as soon as we went 2-0 up with threw everyone forwards and played like a 1,3,3,3 formation Under McLeish is was 4,5,1 get a goal then 6,3,1 formation.

I hope you do enjoy your time in this competitionbut i seriously doubt that you will. Oh and we may have failed to qualify for the group stages for the last two years but at least we put ourselves in a position to do so. Oh and also it's the competition we got through the group stages in and probably would've won it had Martin O Neill not given up on it trying to qualify for the Champions League.

I gotta agree with the KiD, as I usually do, except for the idea that Villa will taste the Europa league again, which seems impossible under Feck. His brand of anti-football really is sore on the eye.

Villa are a big club and although they are not going to be a Top 4-5 as its a monoply nowadays Villa have a great chance every season to be playing in the top 6.

I still think McLeish is not the right man, not only for the upset it caused some fans, but i think tactically he is too flawed.

If you lose 2 from Bent, N'Zogbia and Agbonlahor then McLeish will lose the plot and play Heskey on his own

The 4,2,3,1 is a decent formation allowing N'Zog and Abby to attack in the final 3rd, i am sure we could have played that last season with the players we had like Bentley, Hleb, Beausajour or Redmond but McLeish prefered the players who offer more on defence and never gave them chances.
