Robins 1 Brewers 3

Absolutely delighted with that result. A valuable 3 points away from home, 3 goals scored and top of the table. It doesn't get much better than that.

We didn't need to do very much to win. Cheltenham were atrocious and a shadow of the team they have been in quite recent times.

An opportunistic blast from Beavon when the ball fell to him 20 yards out and 2 headers from criminal Cheltenham defending handed us the 3 points.

We were not at our best today and that was largely due to the pitch which was really boggy and heavy. Some of our players really didn't get going such as Akins, McGurk and Blyth but they all worked hard and it was a team effort. (I really think it is time for Blyth to be rested now).

The stars of the show for me were Lenihan and Weir who were combative, industrious and tireless in front of the back 4.

Great result. Up the Brewers !

Another good win, let's hope Lenihan's loan is extended without too much trouble

Did Calero get any game time?

Yes, about 5 minutes. His first contribution was to try and kick the ball and he missed it and it hit his standing foot.
