As per usual customary, Sturridge does a tumble and Phil Dowd obliges. This is like the changes of the season, almost guaranteed in games against Liverpool.
Yet, even the loss cannot hide the immensity of the Spurs performance. At times, Liverpool had all their players in their own half, trying to stop the Tottenham attack,
Liverpool in the end were very fortunate. Their first goal owes more to the worst premiership pitch and their second owes it as much to the ref's assistance as the player.
We can take heart from this great performance away to a team that was labelled by the adoring media as the "title contenders".
Great stuff from Spurs. Never wavered, stromed back twice and in the end just ran out of time.
This is a team in transition and can only get better. It's building towards next season, and it's looking rather good,.

There were times where if Sturridge had been match fit/sharper he could have put us out of sight on his own in the first half, helped by some sloppy Spurs passing has to be said, but then again our pressing game was good, so was spurs, a good game which I think we edged slightly.

We looked a bit leggy after the NLD. Everything went for us in the NLD whereas tonight, it went against us..
