Will Bent be recalled by Villa

It's happened once this season with a player on loan at Derby, playing well, scoring goals and then being recalled by his parent Club. Could it happen again with Darren Bent.?

There are rubblings that Paul Lambert is on his way out of Villa Park, the team can't buy a goal and that may mean a new start for Bent with the arrival of a new Manager.......possibly.

This could be extremely bad news, especially with Martin out for a while and very little opportunity to obtain any quality from the 'Emergency Loan Market'.

What do you think.?

More of a twitch than a surge

Be kind Ang. Every surge starts with a little twitch

Bit worrying that the man himself doesn't know if can be recalled or not.

Peeder has already told us the rule, random internet blogs won't know the rules better than the FA do!

He's here to stay

ASTON Villa cannot recall striker Darren Bent from his loan at Derby County, Rams boss Steve McClaren has confirmed.

Bent had fallen out of favour at Villa under manager Paul Lambert, who was sacked on Wednesday.

The striker has joined the Rams for the remainder of the season and there is no recall clause in the deal.

Bent has scored four goals in five appearances since arriving at Derby.

The former England international netted the equaliser at Bournemouth in midweek, having replaced injured front man Chris Martin.

"We're very lucky that we've got Benty to come in," said McClaren.

"I thought he slotted in very well on Tuesday night and deserved his goal. It was a great goal.

"He's enjoying his football again, which is the key thing.

"We're pleased about that and we're pleased that he can't go back to Villa now. That would have been a blow."
