With not long before the end of the transfer window, are we prepared to make a bid for promotion?
GK: Lonners/Rachbuka
RB: Connolly / X
CB: Lees / Kissa / Bromby / X
LB: White / O'Dea
RM: Snods / Sam
CM: Clayton / Howson / X / Brown
LM: Gradel / Nunez
ST: McCormack / Somma
CF: Becchio / Keogh
Personally, I'd say we're 3 signings away from being able to get promotion.
- We need a better back-up to the centre midfield then Brown, who is obviously ineffective.
- Although we have more options than I've listed for the defence, playing O'B and Parker (based on current form, not historic) would seriously increase the chance of shipping goals. O'Dea can play centre def, but in my eyes, Kissa isn't looking the same player and Lees may be pushed out right so I'd be happier with one class signing to totally ensure we're steady at the back (though I'm not as worried as last season!) and maybe a full back (PLEASE Lichaj!) on loan.
What are your thoughts? Confident in what we've got or more signings needed?
Overall though, Grayson's done a better job than I thought he had up until a couple of matches ago. Clayton's class, he's put faith in White/Lees and Lonnegren is a great move.

O dea is better in middle than left but defence for me is big concern. I'd like to see a good rb comevin and lees play in centre. Jury is still out on paddy hope he can recover to previous levels.
What does it say about inbounds that no one rates brown.....already!
Rb is most essential I think.

Jonty - alright pal?
Trouble is, if Kissa loses form or gets injured, I don't think inexperienced Lees and decent but un-commanding O'Dea is a good enough partnership, even if we have a great right back.

I don't think O'Dea has done a lot wrong at CB so far ..... he's been okay.
I'd agree about the RB situation. As much as i think he's reliable, Connolly is caught out by pace - shame as i think he's okay for the most part.
a decent CB is highest on my wishlist - someone to really bring stability and nouse to the back line. With a combination of Brown/Howson/Clayton in front i think we're okay in midfield for now........

against West Ham I wasn't sure about O'Dea, especially at set pieces Tomkins was constantly beating him in the air. I think we do need a commanding presence who is a monster in the air, and quick on the ground, as like Jonty im not sure if we have got the old Paddy back.
How much would Samba cost?

Completely agree.
3 players - Lichaj, Lansbury and an experienced central defender.

Good point London, I would like to see Paddy and Lees combination, I think his experience could acclerate Lees growth in the centre.
lukey agree with Tomkins, he won everything in the air, I would hate to think this defence is the one we have for the rest of the season cos there will be a lot fo goals conceded.....again.

Hi guys, I don't know if you heard, but I heard through good sources that Becchio shoule be back for the Palace game. So that should boost the striking force. MOT

I would like to see three more
A right back
A midfield player with guile.
A supplementary striker on a short loan to cover until Becchio returns.
