Galling enough as it is, he probably did. Ridiculous. I can only hope it had a "bottom 3" clause in it which is why the support suddenly evaporated.
Thought I'd feel quite happy but the seriousness of the situation tempers it all. I also hoped Lambert would come good but I (like most) just lost any faith in him.

You're talking about a closed shop in footy. Just wait and see who he joins, and soon.
Can you imagine in the jobs we do, having had similar 'performances' walking into a massively well paid job on the back of that? After having been sacked?
