The Courier is running a story today stating that United fought for £25 tickets for behing the goal for the cup final.
Celtic wanted the tickets to be set at £30.
They compromised on £28 (with £12 concessions).
See next time Celtic fans moan about other clubs fleecing their fans, remember this.
On a seperate yet linked note, we're still waiting on pricing for the Scottish Cup quarter final between the two sides at Tannadice. I would normally expect the game to be priced around £15, particularly with the club having a cup final the following week. However, given Celtic's view on pricing for the final, I suspect they'll drive up the price for the quarter final to around £20, which will undoubtedly impact the attendance.
On another, and again linked note, United may not be playing Celtic three games in a row after all. The fixture up in Inverness is postponed because of the League Cup final, and this will probably need to be played before the split (although given that both clubs are in the top six I don't see why it can't be left until after the split). If it does get played before the split, I would expect it would be played in the midweek after the cup final and before the league game, although I wouldn't be surprised if the SPFL made us play a couple of days before the final just to be kunty.
On a linked note to that, our game against Inverness at Tannadice, which was postponed because of a frozen pitch, is due to be played on the 24th of this month. Prices if I remember correctly are exceptionally low for this game - I think it's a fiver to get in.
Mon the Terrors.

It happens all over the world.
Do you think Levante charge fans the same price to play Betis than they do Barcelona?
An extra couple of £ per ticket is not totally out of the question.
My gripe is paying £25 a game then the following week teams are letting fans in for a flooking fiver

I'm not saying it doesn't happen I just don't think it's right to be honest.
I genuinely feel sorry for Celtic fans and wouldn't want to see people priced out the game. I'm not saying that's the case necessarily for the final, but just generally speaking.
I certainly don't think it's right that the final has its prices bumped up just because it's Celtic.

I agree but I don't have any problems with a slight hike for the product on display

CT, I'm not dignifying that with a response.
NNH - ok...what if you were getting charged 12% more when you've got a pash team playing turgid football?

Then that's not fair, the price should be based on the product being served.
Prime example being I paid £25 to watch Celtic against an awful championship side who offered nothing to the game in a semi final.
Now I have a final where I get to watch Celtic and a team in the top 4 of the SPFL who play decent football in a cup final.
To me that more than warrants a £3 rise

Not angry at the price rise, just that less of the cheaper tickets are available to United fans.
In other news, Celtic fans have nicked a song from another club and claimed it was theirs all along. Surely that wouldn't happen

Looks like the extra 3k tickets are for the West Stand. Frustrating.
