Great news that he has signed a new contract, but honestly I can't envisage him seeing it out with us.
This season, even more than last season, he gets absolutely no protection from the match officials, and it has now become a total farce the amount of times he is fouled with no recrimination for the perpetrators.
I just can't see why he would put up with that shitttt for another 5 and a half years and for that reason I think we will end up selling him in the summer of 2017.
How many more seasons of Hazard?

I think there are two potentia reasons for him to leave
1) He becomes a confirmed top 5 players in the world (for me he is in a pack of 8-12 behind what I see as the top 5) and Real are prepared to pay big
2) He gets fed up of England (incidentally biggish I agree its a farce how often he is fouled and the refs ignore it)
Slightly off-topic but I am not sure how Hazard will develop...I still think he accepts a free kick at times when could move further with the ball, and that he passes instead of shooting when he shouldn't...
also his cut backs and finishing need work still imo.
But he has become an exceptional all round player.
I dont see Hazard becoming a 40 goal a season type. I may be wrong. I think people forget how freakish it is that Messi and Ronaldo do that tbh....
I see Hazard becoming a more defensively able, and perhaps slightly more silky version of Robben...

I'd agree with a lot of that NPE, with regards to your last line though I would say without the finishing ability, because Robbens left foot is incredible (so thats no insult to Hazard)

Pat Nevin also thinks that Hazard needs more protection from refs:

I don't think that Hazard will ever be on Ronaldo or Messi's level but he really doesn't need to be.
He just needs to be as good as he can be and fulfill his own potential. He can definitely become the best player in the PL and is already one of the best in Europe.

Your team does not commit cynical fouls, right?

My opinion is you will see Hazard for at least another 3 years, could be longer I really do not think he is someone easily swayed, I think he just enjoys playing. which brings me to another slant on this.
By all accounts and from reports, we really must keep hold and develop Eden's brother Thorgan, might be time end of season to bring him back.
Eden was reported to have said he thinks he's brother could be better than him, and this evidently has been backed up by a lot of people. I have not followed him so cannot give my opinion on that, has anyone here been following he's loan period and is he developing in the right way, being honest our loan record and bringing them back to play 1st team has not been shall we say the best.

Depends on his continued rise I guess...no reason he can't become the worlds best in the next two years (injuries not withstanding)
And inevitably the big spanish two will come a-knocking
Ron & Messi are still a flight above him & a couple of others but inevitably will be on the wane I guess

The contract is fantastic news. Because it gives us some power. We can either get an absolutely silly fee for him, or he stays.
In answer to the being fouled part. I wonder where he sits on the "most fouled players" list?

Hazard is already the most fouled player in the PL and the player who has had the most yellow card challenges against him in the league. There was a point yesterday that slightly annoyed be when Barry slightly touched his arm while Hazard was running at their defence with the ball, so he stopped and looked at the referee like he's entitled to the FK (why not carry on?), you seem to have the same attitude

Yeah...i think 25 different players have had given for tackles on him
