I watched this epic film about the 8 time world champion Manny Pacquiao recently and got to say what a fantastic film it was giving me more appreciation of the boxer and the man that is Manny Pacquiao..
The film starts of with Pacquiao getting knocked out by Marquez, and Pacquiao (voice over) asking the question why do I box.
And then goes right back to the beginning.
You see some of these American boxers claiming they had hard times and lived in poverty. Nothing compared to what Pacquiao went through.
Went days without eating, had to work as a child to help feed his family. witness gun battles with the army and the rebels, lived on a mountain under a tree. All of this before he was a teen.
Went to Manila at 14 box to make money so he can help his family, slept on the streets.
The film could have been longer, a lot missed out, but tell you all about the character of the man and how he is bigger than boxing in the Philippines. And how he is the true face of boxing.

There one point in the film where Manny and his family have to come down from the mountain and into the city because of the gun battles between the rebels and the army and he talks about seeing a T.V for the first time.
He kept on looking behind the T.V to see where the people on the T.V were

Nice one I'll definitely check it out. Haven't used Amazon video before though. Looks pretty straightforward.

Have you seen "I am Ali" ? Really enjoyed it even if the reviews were a bit so so.

Haven't seen it as yet. It was a trailer on the "Manny" DVD.
I have seen a lot of other Ali documentaries though.
