London Welsh=Poorest Ever?

Team in the Premiership? Back in Kew next year I assume, so really no chance to build a fan base with all the moving about. Hopefully someone different coming up will make a better go of it.

Bom dia Edin, como vai?

Although not a L Welsh fan it is sad to see a team fail so badly, means there is no pressure at the bottom as everyone else is pretty much safe already. Hope whoever comes up makes a better fist of it next season.

The system needs to change A LOT. Otherwise there is a distinct possibility that the same could happen again, though I suspect that either Worcester or Bristol would indeed show up better.

The binning of the nonsensical play offs should be the first change.

Agree, Play Offs in the Premiership sort of make sense with teams losing players to AI's and 6N but below that a pure money spinner and delays a team preparing for the top flight. Some of LW arguments about funding of Academies need listening to but they brought much of it on themselves with ground hopping and bringing in too many new players just after a pension.

Hate the Prem play-offs as well. Pure moneymaking, and nothing to do with the integrity of the league competition.

As a Saints fan, I have always said that Sarries were champions last year.

Jeez, even the most money making sport of them all (the round ball) doesn't go in for this kind of nonsense at its top level.

Don't disagree but there are issues with games going on during internationals affecting some clubs (most likely at the top end) more than others. Sarries won't be affected being a Cape Town team!

Don't get me started on league games during th 6N. Gregor Townsend must be raging.

This should be the time for the LV as a development competition

Agree. LV should be limited to players returning from injury and those with (say) less than 5 starts in the season. Run it in the International breaks and it would be a chance for development squad players to shine. Play offs should not be needed then, and certainly not for promotion. Teams coming up need the maximum time to prepare, but need to prepare better than LW.

But no play offs= less money, so that idea is dead!

That's just it, money outranks integrity every time sadly. That will become a big problem in the future
