I did not watch the game so would like to hear your thoughts on Gabriel and his first game for the Arsenal. Just saw some highlights and he looks very athletic, not sure about pace.
I think he has the build for a center back in our domestic game but does he also read the game well?
By the way I think for all the noise about De Gea, Lloris has been the best keeper in the premier league this season. How we let him join Spurs when he would have jumped at the opportunity to join us is testament to Wenger maintaining faith in Szcz which was not the right decision. He would suit our high line game perfectly with his perfectly timed runs of his line.
Szcz main weakness is decision making of his line. He is decent at everything else until he decides to go fishing!
How did the Brazilian lad play?

Like a dirty Koscielny.

Lloris is overrated
Excellent shot-stopper capable of match-winning performances, but his 'uncharacteristic mistakes' (which I've heard on commentary) come about a bit too often.
De Gea and Courtois are easily the top 2 in the league, followed by Cech and then Lloris imo

Bit of a random rant about Loris

Imagine if Szczesny or Ospina let in that opener v Liverpool
But Gabriel did well against a team that is offensively pretty lame. Far bigger tests ahead.

De Gea never comes off his line though. Not for love, nor money.
Courtois the best in the league for me.

at the article topic swerve but De Gea is by far the best keeper in the league. Cech outshone Courtois when he replaced him in the last game

Didn't have much to do but did make a good tactical foul which another defender might not have done

He did what he had to. Early signs show Per is going to stick on the bench because this guy is mobile and aggressive like Kos. And looks dominating in the air too. But a true test would be against PL sides.

Think it was a good debut, glad he knows when to do a professional foul as far too many times our players just let them run past.
