There is support for extreme islamists in the east end,and there are schools in the area with no white English children.
If the BBC want to be honest and represent the area,let them show the truth,eh?

Then again,aunty beeb will not call isis terrorists,or show the prophet,whilst showing satirical progammes about all other religion's and political ideologies.

The east end is hardly full of cheeky white cockney's,having knees ups,and eating eels,is it?

A comedian was on The Wright Stuff recently in relation to his old school,and it is hardly a right wing show,so I would magine Matthew Wright would have put him down,if he spread lies about the number of white English kids present.

Odd that people question demographic changes,really.

bluebell...didn't know that there were schools with no white kids....i look at the east end & yeah there are ethnic minority areas, but i'd have thought that there would be mixed raced schools, especially when you look at the teams from around there most of their supporters are white...

Most of the schools where there is a lack of white english people are in areas that are run down and white people in the main have moved from. The white english people remaining will be those at the lower end of the income/education ladder etc.

The areas like Bradford get highlighted but what is missed is the concentration in pockets of say Bradford 8. Not all of Bradford

Interestingly the newer generations of asian are happy to stay within those areas mainly due to having everything local eg mosques/temples dietary requirements etc

Yet white migrants are happy to progress and move from terrace to semi detached etc

Back to the OP,
I once worked on a film where the main charcter was supposed to be a Leeds fan,but Leeds wouldn't give their permisson for their brand to be used,due to drugs and violence in the film.
Eventually the producers got permison from chelsea,was in the days of bates owning chelsea.

Many hammers fans are from outside the east end,and footie is traditionally a white English thing,so most fans are white.
Not sure why anyone is underplaying the numbers game,as officially,London has a minority white English population.Office of Population,Census and Surveys.
Spoke to a guy from Hounslow recently,and he is in his 40's.The school he went to has English,as a second language.
I remember going to Wembley Market on a Sunday,and we were the only non-Asian faces among thousands.And that was 25 yrs ago,so I guess things have changed in London,hence the English minority in the capitol city.
I wonder how many capitol's have that stat around the globe?

Come on eastenders.Get more pale faces out,and be true to your PC equality legislation and quota's.

Why are so many areas seemingly subject to ethnic substitutions? Who gains from having tower hamlets exist as a "Muslim state"?

Eastenders, has been forced to reflect reality, or at least been scrutinised for not representing minorities, however the moment they do, then the viewing demographic which is made up of "Good old days" escapism folk, billboard and ratings thus plummet.

Also, Enders cannot possibly promote a team which is synonymous with corrie(main rival).

Good to see a thread finally discussing Eastenders and not dwelling on who killed Lucy Beale. Remember she wanted out, so lets support the current cast who are moving the show in the right direction.
