It is extremely quiet on our board. Are we all quietly smug, happy and contented with our football club at present? Too scared to talk about football just in case fate is tempted?
I am absolutely delighted with everything that is going on at present. The league table makes for very pleasant reading.
On the pitch we don't look like conceding. The last time we conceded more than a solitary goal in a league game was on 21st October at Carlisle.
The performances are solid and workmanlike. Not glamorous at times but very professional.
- Robbie Weir and young Lenihan in midfield are absolutely superb.
- The back four are brilliant led by the Moose.
- McLaughlin has got over his shaky spell and is a first rate keeper.
- Beavon and his tireless effort and intelligent play upfront.
Once the new signings get used to the pace and style of League 2 they will be useful additions hopefully. I do still hope that we sign another tall experienced targetman who knows both the lower leagues and where the net is. Suspensions, injuries and tiredness need to be legislated for at this end of the season.
See, I got through that without using the P word.
Everybody Happy?

I agree with everything you've said Otep. Jimmy said on Radio Derby today that he hopes to sign a striker this week and let's hope he does.
As for myself, I keep pinching myself to see whether I'm dreaming or not, as I never, ever, thought I'd see Albion in the league position that they are now.

Yes i agree also with your comments Otep , we look very solid at the back and once we get our noses in front we are a hard side to beat .I will be disapointed if we slip out of the top three and end up in the lottery of play offs again ,but to be fair this would still be an excellent campaign again , i too hope we sign a target man this week as we still dont have the firepower our rivals seem to possess .

Yes I am happy we look very polished of late and you can see Jimmy is putting his stamp on the team.
I see on the breaking news we have got a striker in from Hamilton so lets hope he can smash a few goals in. <Cool>

I think the reason for Brewers being quiet on P subject is because of what has happened over the last two season.Funny old game this football, one minute you can be flying high, then the next minute the wheel can fall off.
This season so far has been great, as league 2 status is
the most important thing for a club like Burton.
The big difference this season is the kind of players being bought in to strengthen the team. I think that Burton Albion has learned a big lesson from the last Two season, sometimes you have got to force a square peg through a round hole, to finish the job off.
