Not sure if anyone remembers last season, but Sven and Stringer both all but confirmed that we had tried to get SWP on loan and there had been an agreement with the clubs and possibly with the player.

However, he was asking for a ridiculous amount of money - which I am sure was suggested, to be his standard wages plus additional money from LCFC as an almost 'gracious thank you' for him dropping down a division to play for us. This was rebuffed almost immediately.

There are plenty of opinions being thrown around about Leicester and our spending power; mostly negative and many ill-researched. Yet, no one criticises the clubs/players who try to take advantage of our recent financial good-fortune.

It makes you sick that football players would rather do such things than play some regular football. Players like that don't deserve the talent they have IMO

If I was a football player on any kind of professional wage, give me a regular appearance in a league 2 side over a seat in a premier league stadium any day, living the dream would be more important than the money (providing it was enough to live on)
