Did anyone watch the Man U match?
The commentary was so bias to Man U, Roy Hodgson defending rooney's diving.

Dive. All day long. Everything else is just white noise.

The offside one was pathetic. As a keeper the offside player obviously affects your actions and reflexes. You'd be waiting to see whether it deflects off the player or whether he flicks it before you dive.

Grayson said: "I am not saying it wasn't a penalty. I'm saying there was no contact.
Grayson doesn't seem to think so either... ?!?
Doesn't seem to think what, Young'Un?
Cos as I've said over and over, it was a Penalty. I didn't say there was contact. I know he dived... Out of the way of a reckless challenge.
I said we'll agree to disagree cos you won't convince me. And well, quoting the Manager hasn't done anything to strengthen your point of view, like Dermott Gallagher and the England manager did for me.

No dive for me and 100% penalty
its not as if Rooney went round the keeper and flung himself to the floor, the keepy came hurtling towards rooney
If rooney had taken the hit he would have been severely injured
reckless from the keeper

Any Scouser moaning about a penalty being given when there is no contact should just go and watch a loop of the Gerrard penalty at Sunderland on the opening day of the season 5 or 6 years ago, the only penalty I have ever seen given when everyone could see there was no contact yet Gerrard having to change course to avoid a challenge was apparently sufficient.
And when they have finished that they can watch Suarez's greatest flops in a Liverpool shirt.

As England manager, do you really think Hodgson had any other realistic option other to defend Rooney?
It does beg the question whether the England manager should be doing punditry though.?
And the answer to that question is of course NO!

Yes because the bbc wouldn't shut up about how Davies should have got a definite red!!!!
Oh no wait, it was hardly mentioned

Former Crystal Palace striker Mark Bright: "Can't wait to hear what Rooney says as the captain of Man Utd about that penalty. #Dive all day long."
Ex-Southampton forward Matt Le Tissier: "It was entirely feasible to have stayed on his feet and avoid the poor challenge from keeper. He chose to dive and conned the ref."
Trevor Sinclair, former England, Manchester City and QPR winger: "Rooney dive but every right to #suicidalkeeping #gameover"
Former Aston Villa, Liverpool and England forward Stan Collymore: "Blatant dive. No contact whatsoever. Sad to see."
Keith Gillespie, ex-Manchester United and Newcastle winger: "Let's be honest Rooney took advantage of the situation. He made an instant decision and had to stand by it. Happens every week."

What a pile of bull féces, he had already gone past the challenge, he had no right to go down as its a 50/50.

stringer think you have the wrong end of the stick, I agree with you, it wasn't a dive.
With the keeper coming flying into him at that speed they would have both been at risk of injury if he didn't do anything.
