Over the last few days there have been a number of posters giving their valid opinions on who (if NP goes at the end of the season) our new manager may be.
Some common suggestions
Lennon - No thanks, sentiment doesn't come into it. Needs to prove himself in the English league over a period of time. Celtic success is not irrelevant BUT it is not a massive tick in the pro box.
MON - Don't think we will ever have a hole in hell of getting him back to the KP
Warburton - give me a break, not at our level
Howe - if a chance of getting him I would like to see us take a punt on him over other candidates.
But this morning MAY throw another name in the ring, rumours!! that the Hammers are sounding out candidates to replace Fat, sorry Big Sam at the end of the season.
This is an experienced manager who has been around the block, I would certainly not be against seeing him come in.
What are others thoughts?
Hypothetically Speaking.....

And Sven was a thoroughly nice, decent, kind bloke during his time here and was a real credit to our club especially when the club was trying to establish links in Thailand. Compare that to Pearson....

I agree with Foxello. My heart says I wouldn’t touch SA with a barge pole, but my head says that he might well be the most credible candidate that’s been suggested thus far.

My point Fox is the bigger picture. A manager is judged on his results ( quite rightly) but we must remember ALL of the improvements that we have experienced under NP. Under his stewardship we are a much more financially secure club, whereas Sven (as you say) made us play some good football but he did not have the future of our club at heart.

I mean Foxello’s comments about Allardyce not the one’s about Sven when he’s reverted to talking out of his @ rse again !

I also agree with Foxello regarding his views on Allardyce, although I think you forget too easily that under Sven we only used to see decent football for about ten minutes per game with the rest being dross. And for all the complaints recently about Pearson having his favourite players, Sven was particularly bad with this.
Really nice bloke to hear from, but I found it really noticeable that once Pearson had returned we saw far more consistent effort from the team and still played entertaining football last season.

I think NP will be our manager next season, IF we are relegated, and he would get us promoted again, after all he's done it once . I think then the owners might say , ok were here again what's your plan going forward, who are you going to sign to ensure we stay in the prem and then make a decision. That's IFwe go down but of course we will stay up by skin of our teeth.

Will he? Should he? He could find himself in an awkward position where he's going to have to turn to players he's frozen out. The likes of Albrighton and knockaert. Are these going to be able / want to bust a gut to get us back up for a manager that is probably going to dump if successful?

Do we actually have any evidence that Albrighton and Knockaert have been 'frozen out', or have they just been dropped for footballing reasons?
It seems to suit a lot of people on here to paint Pearson as this tyrannical manager who has vendettas against players.
I know Albrighton gave an interview where he said he'd been training really well and couldn't understand why he wasn't in the side, but to be honest you wouldn't expect him to say that he'd been training poorly would you?

Look at all my posts, you'll see that I am a big Pearson supporter but you can not argue that there is something not quite right with why he wont play Albrighton.
I never really believed it until Stoke when Jeff Schlupp started after pulling out of afcon with a knee injury when Albrighton had done more than enough in the previous 2 games that he'd started to warrant starting for a 3rd time.
