WHile I am very pleased with Armstrong , not sure I agree with the hype as yet. As the team stands GMS is an impovement regardless of who is fit.
Armstrong at this point in time is a lesses version of a combined Brown/Commons/Johansson. Does he perform better than each of those three do in their specialised role then I would say no.
The fact he can play all the above and should only improve that is what makes me pleased we signed him. Potential to be better than any of those I mention but at this stage is still potential whereas GMS is better than any we have had in a while in what he brings

Armsrtong is nothing like Commons imo mate. He is much closer to the player Brown was when we signed him from Hibs.
WHile both Armstrong and Commens may both achieve similar goals in what the team needs they as far as I can see do not come close to doing such in a similar style

Wee PS to above as I need to track. To reiterate at present Armstrong cant do what Brown,Commons, Johansson, Biton or GMS can in the aspects each excel.
The fact I would not feel alarmed if he had to replace any of them perhaps GMS aside considering the similarityof role the rest provide answers the question of how highly I regard Armstrongs addition to the team.

If you're comparing Armstrong to any current Celtic player then it's probably Johansson (sp?).

I'd say Ivan is right in terms of who you can compare them too.

For me Armstrong has a bit to go to get to Johansens level but what's impressed me is the fact they're able to play together, sometimes you get players who are similar and cancel each other out but Armstrong has linked up well with him
