Isn't the Maldives' human rights record slightly questionable? Not to mention they practice Sharia Law.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is wrong with Sharia law?Its only applicable to Muslims and non Muslims have to adhere to their religious and state laws.I think thats fair.
Out of these two places Goa is the better place and you can live cheaply in Goa than Maldives.
Also football matches of Premiership and Champions League and FA Cup can be seen on Star Sports and Ten Sports though Capital One Cup match will have to be streamed on the internet.
As for human rights record India has a very poor human rights record and it has killed about a million Kashmiris in Kashmir but only China and Russia are criticised by western media which is wrong and women are unsafe in India which is also a shame!

I took my girlfriend to India the other year.
"Goa?" you ask....well, no, she's a bit of a prude actually.

The Blue Kenyan Shariah Law is applied to Muslims and not non Muslims but even with Muslims and me being a practicing Muslim I still find this wrong and what you say is true and correct in my view!

Not sure I could live in the Maldives, I think I’d get cabin after a few weeks. My best mate is actually Maldivian and his family own many of the resorts and even he as a native although he loves the place doesn’t stay there more than a few weeks at a time.
I’ve been to Goa three times and my father used to live there for 6 months a year, it really depends where you are. The north of Goa has become very commercial these days, lots of tacky bars and restaurants and you may as well be in Benidorm, further south it lovely though and there is plenty to do. Agonda and Cola beach are really nice where you stay in huts and tents. http://www.colabeach.com/
I’d rather spend a week or two in the Maldives but would choose to live in Goa.
