HOORAY thank goodness he`s gone, third rate player at best, but who`s paying his wages. Surely Chesterfield can`t afford it on their own.

Hooray! We can all now look forward to the disorganised hoofball and clogging that LJ couldn't do.
There's no room for the passing game in our club! Onwards and upwards .....
Hooooofff!

He played easy, no risk football.
Backwards or sideways passing, often when player wasn't even ready!

Morning 1For
'we had more success with LJ in the side than we did without him'
Junior is/was ok in L1, that's all I've ever said.
Our great 1st year in the CCC was due to the 'bounce' factor, like Millwall,Leeds and Norwich last season and probably Saints and Brighton this season.
Junior was injured the last part of that season and we played, by far, our best football without Junior against Palace in the P/Os. The idiot father then made his worst ever decision at Wembley putting Marv back to RB to bring on that runt. I said runt not c***. Horrible word.
Surprised 1For that you can't differentiate the 'bounce' being the reason we did well that year and you think it was down to Junior. If you want to pick out any players that season Basso and Elliot were the most influential ( Have Marv's 'legs' ever recovered from covering LJ ???). And yes 1For I understand the 'balance', commerardary factors as well as I'm sure you do.
However, if LJ was that influential as you say, a club other than the 'massive' Chesterfield would have secured his services by now.

Nobody wants him on a permanent basis.
He will be back with Daddy soon and Fat Gary telling everyone, he has signed a great player!

R/p, you do chat some complete nonsense at times, you really do!
First, yes there was some bounce effect but, usually, that comes from part of a successful team continuing where they left out. LJ was part of that success as Onefor and others rightly point out.
Secondly, we did not play our best footbal when Jr was injured, we actually lost most of the games and dropped out of automatic places. Yes, the performances against Palace were exciting but that had just about as much to with Warnock stoking the fires as anything else. We played much better in the first half of the season before the like of Adebola and Carle showed up. Most people agree when LJ was out his passing was missed by the team, as it by some fans who cant understand his role. He keeps it ticking over nicely, not flashly just quietly going about his job. A true pro.
Thirdly, you still believe that LJ coming on at Wembley was a mistake, what else? The cart horse Vasko? Its highly likely we would have conceded more had he came on. You must appreciate that LJ was not on the field when we conceded and had Trundle, Carle and Adebola done better with thew chances that presented themselves it may have been a different story.
Chesterfield arent a massive club but John Sheridan knows a decent player when he sees one, he certainly knows more that anyone on here. Its worrying that Keef acknowledges LJ as being a passing player and at the same times ships him out. The again, some City fans dont really understand the passing game, they just prefer the ball hoofed down the wings for someone to leg it after, i understand to some, that constitutes entertaining football. As a counter balance, in his younger days Derby and Hearts though he was worth a punt they arent too small.
Its clear to most what part LJ played "in the team" its a balance thing R/p and Marv and LJ had balance and understanding, the team works, not a load of indivduals.

Evening RP.
Come on Redprint, we all know why you had the problem with LJ...(the managers son)
Even you must admit he did quite often have an eye for a good pass, and quite often kept the middle of the field flowing....Yes we acknowledge that he was not the greatest of headers or at tackling, but that's why ME was there for, infact possibly ME's best day for City.
As R/S says, we went on a really bad run when he got injured in the playoff's season, if I remember, he was carried off at home to Watford....then quite a few games without a win..
I also remember you praising him on occassions (when you were in a good mood!!!).
Question???? Do you really suggest that our midfield has now improved??? Are we playing flowing football?
God forbid, I'm not saying that LJ would now make a difference because Millen's tacktics are a shambles.
But I was happier watching the City back then than I do now..
All I'm saying is that LJ is not half as bad as you make him out to be and did not deserve the flack that he got..
I really wish him well and hope that he understands that NOT all City fans thought badly of him.....
There are worse in the current side...IMO
