What have we come to ? While not condoning racism, 1 black bloke is prevented from getting on a tube train resulting in him waiting a few minutes for the next one and ending 3 MINUTES LATE HOME.
This story knocked another off the "most important" news spot here with a guy getting sentenced for BEHEADING SOMEONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT BEGGARS BELIEF, sorry but if the guy had been WHITE this would never have even been a story
Absolutely EFFING RIDICULOUS

UKIP appeal to middle-class over 60's who are comfortable with their pensions and yearn for a time that never really existed outside of the cinema.
You do know that people in their sixties were teenagers or early 20s in the 1960s, when shaaaggggiiiing anything in sight and smoking pot and doing drugs was the norm. I think you would have to be about 110 when the only entertainment was the cinema.
I was one such child, and would not in a million years contemplate voting for Farage and his cronies, and yes I did a bit of everything in the 1960s. In fact my generation invented having fun.

Sandy, it's very obvious from your previous posts that you experimented vigorously with Acid.
I'm not saying that every 60+ person is a shoo in to vote UKIP but they will form the biggest contingent of their demograph along with disaffected members of the BNP or EDL.
As for the cinema reference, I'm talking about British films of that era where every character is white, everyone has a job and policemen were jolly. That era never existed in the real world.

Bluebell, I agree with quite a few of UKIP'S core ideas, especially the ones about having the right to decide who can live in this country.
People who bring something to the table should always be welcome (like they have been foe the last 1,000 years) but we can't have an open door policy where whole families just come to milk our health, education and benefits system.
The problem with UKIP is that it's full of crackpots (or crackheads). Could anyone support a party that wants to ban people from driving if they lose their jobs?

The Chelsea thing even made the news here in Australia.
No one is condoning the actions of these disgraceful Chelsea thugs but the whole thing has been ridiculously overblown.

Racists incidents getting overblown is better than racists incidents not even being recognised which was the case only 30 years ago.

i am not going to talk about the ranking of news stories re the beheading v racism, but my view on the racism story is that it has in no way been blown out of proportion. it deserves to be that big and it was so unbelievably out of line that the whole world should be hearing about it, especially as its linked to football which is such a global game. As a man who has been racially abused before (several times), and had something similar happen to me when I was just 13, (on a bus not a train), I am glad it has blown up as much as it was and I know exactly how that man must feel. so again, while I am not going to say what I think ranks what, I think that both stories deserve to be at the forefront. unlike half the papers yesterday who were running with a front page about fúcking eastenders.
