First off, not a great performance but a great result in the end. A win to take to Turkey and a clean sheet is good.
The debate about the penalty is ridiculous; Jordan Henderson vs the world's best penalty taker - no decision to be made.
What I've noticed about Jordan is that he's trying too hard to be the Roy of the Rovers player that Gerrard was in his pomp and it's just not his game. He's not a penalty taker, he's not a set piece taker. He needs to start being his own player and must stop trying to be Gerrard.
Also - Gerrard has made some ridiculous comments on ITV tonight. Massively disappointed at him for that. Not what you'd expect.

Gerrard was being honest and told it like it is. Honesty. Is obviously something that my fellow fans are not keen on hearing. Fair enough, but I would rather hear what Gerrard actually thinks rather than be lied to.
I guess it's just a matter of preference.

Gerrard said hendos name was on the board, but obviously balo wasnt starting so his nane wouldnt be therr, perhaps if he was he might of been chosen instead

It wasn't about being honest, and he didn't need to lie. He could of just said he wasn't on the pitch so wasn't involved, and that any issues would get sorted in the dressing room.
You going on about not wanting to hear honestly is a pretty lame response. I suppose you want a press conference every week stating the real, behind the scenes happenings of the club? He's the club captain, not a pundit. That brings a responsibility to do everything in the interests of the club, not himself.

As an outsider looking in I think because Mario scores it is absolutely the right decision. You win first and argue later.
Henderson was quite diplomatic in his post match comments so I think Gerrard should have just straight batted any question.
Besides. You won, Mario is scoring and your defence is improving. Should be happy days for you!

Mario played very well yesterday, didn't do a thing wrong kept possession well and played some good balls through.

Yeah I think that was about Marios best half hour for us.
He did everything right, even cleared a cross defensively.
Small steps but hopefully it continues.
