I have seen many people on here and in the press saying he should of kept his views for the dressing room rather than on national tele, i agree 100% with this.
My question is Stevie knows the game / team / media inside out - he gives absoloutely nothing away and is quite boring if you like, i dont think he would of made the comments if he wasnt leaving so it makes me wonder has someone or something upset him
As for Henderson - this fella runs all day/night/year but give him the ball and he will kick it out of play, well wide, over the bar...whoever picked him to take pens needs a talking to

Hendo works hard, presses well and is an important member of team but his quality in final 3rd is poor. Pretty poor with dead ball and his shooting is woeful.

The way he announced his decision screamed of it. He still sees himself as 1st choice and has an issue with Brendan for his perception of forcing him out.

Carra did the same thing the season he left, was that all about Carra? Plenty of players have said they will be leavign the club at the end of the season, was that also all about them?
I think you are assuming it's all about Gerrard because it's Gerrard without actually looking at the situation properly.
What's the better option? Have Brendan and Gerrard being quizzed every week about his future? Constant questions about will he sign? Where would he go etc? Week in week out, or to have a line drawn in the sand, lettign the club and fans know his intentions early enough where this doesn't become the main narrative for the rest of the season.
I know, as a Liverpool fan, that I'm glad Stevie announced it when he did, got it out of the way and you can already see how Brendan is planning for next season without Gerrard at the club.
Non issue for me, think you need to look at the bigger picture.

For me, that comment by StevieG came from someone who may well be demob-happy. Brendan cannot be impressed by such antics.
