A wee heads up I was asked by a friend if I would interested in participating in some field work she needed to conduct. She is doing post graduate work in the field of socioligy "social media" in particular. While at a function some 18 months or so back we got talking and I mentioned the peculiar situation of a sports forum I visit is actually undergoing the stange phenomenon of although there was no longer even a remote rivalry in a real sense this forum continued to function as if nothing had changed.
She found this to be of interest and has been monitering it along with other sources covering the various forms of social media during this period.
I have seeded topics she requested at various times and also displayed certain behaviour and opinions to various topics she wished to observe the reaction to.
So who knows if she goes on to make a serious mark in her field we might all be as famous as any rabbit that got injected with Anthrax to see what happened
PS apparently some of the posters here are "very interesting" that said pretty sure she was talking more about how fasinating it might be to examine brain slides rather than getting friendly up a close
