A good game.
We played well but you got the points. All the best for the rest of the season

Hope you stay in the PL mate. Best of luck

With some better end product, Palace will be a good team

I thought playing badly and winning was a good thing..?

It is as long you don't repeat it. Or eventually you will start to get found out like its happening man utd.

All the top teams have off days and difficult games against lower teams, it's a tough league

You people are the worst. Wishing for us to get knocked out the CL? Really? I genuinely wonder why you support a football club sometimes.
A win in a London derby away at a tough ground against a team in decent form is never bad. Seriously, you know nothing about football if you expect us to turn up and steamroll teams in games like that.

I think it's more to do with Cazorla in the middle. It'll work better in CL than PL, the physicality in the middle gets too much at times for Coquelin to do it all on his own. That's not to say Cazorla is poor in the middle, he's been revelation. But away from home we need to find the right balance in midfield.
----------------------------------------------------------
Ramsey, Wilshere, Ox are 3 that come to mind as having done a decent job in the middle without being completely overwhelmed physically. Rosicky and Arteta can do it as well.

We definitely benefited from ref blunders. It's not like we played badly but somehow got the crucial goals like Man U did at the Emirates.

I think the best thing that can happen is we get knocked out of the champs lge as soon as possible, cos if a team like palace can dominate us then it shows we still have a lot of work to do
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was exactly the same against Spurs. I hope ppl stop saying it was just a night when every one of our players had an off game!

I explained it in another thread. Its abt using our full backs in midfield to gain possession so that we can link from defense to attack. Thats why we did better against Boro, cause Gibbs turned around their wide men. This means that the opposition can't stuff the middle as that leaves space wide to take the ball out. Santi is never going to be able to dribble out in the middle against high press.
Look who we have had as our full backs, Ashley Cole, Sylvinhio, Gio, Clichy. Lauren, Eboue, Sagna. All fast full backs to turn around the oppo in the wide spaces. Chambers and Monreal are possibly the slowest full backs we have had since dixon/winterburn (and they weren't slow).
Add a speed burner over the top and you have chance against high press teams. Cause any ball into space behind their cbs is a open run to the goal.
