Am I being tricked here? Sportsmole wrote the 'slip up' part, not BR.

1. its a dig to gerrard to shut his mouth.
2. he is actually right. if we are to get to 4th or 3rd we have to win all the games against lower teams like swansea etc. 8 games out of 24 are those. 24 points... get those and don't lose v the top 4 if you can and that could be 70-71 points and 4th.
If we lose to say swansea away we will be losing ground.

===========================================================
He didn’t even say it, let alone this fishwives’ gossip about having a dig at Gerrard.
The quotes in the article are taken from his post-match interview, in which he never said anything about “slipping up”. The journo has taken it upon himself to use those words to summarise the headline, and to put quotes around them (in a ‘paraphrasing’ kind of way), but if you read the transcript of the interview on LFCtv (which is where the journo got it), he doesn’t say that.
The journo no doubt wants you to think it’s a direct quote, but he’s using the quotation marks to paraphrase in a headline. It’s a re-hash of a re-hash, and basically just a sad attempt to spice up an article that he got third-hand from a post-match interview that most people have already seen.
