Before you all attack me, hear me out.
Now I like David Silva. He's a joy to watch and he really is just soooo good at playing silky slick passing football. His touch is so exquisite and the way he just rolls his foot over the ball before hes about to pass it is a joy to watch but i actually think he's had an underwhelming career so far and is a tad overrated!
Yes I know his trophy cabinet has the likes of the World cup in there, and the euro championships from 2008 and 2012 and he's got 2 premier league winners medals along with an fa cup but is that it ? I mean really? for someone who's talked about as having the best first touch in the league, his trophy cabinet seems a bit empty which leads me onto my next unrelated point.
does he score enough goals? Now for me, I dont think he does. Its a personal opinion though! that's what a football forum is about right?!? I think he's had enough time to improve his scoring ability and for the positions he gets himself into during games, he really is wasteful in front of goal. Possibly a weakness of his game? Who knows? I dont. I havent got a clue. About anything.
Now just to reiterate, I love watching Silva, He really is a defenders defender. A throwback to the defenders of old. No nonsense but he really does need to improve on certain aspects of his game before he can be mentioned alongside the likes of ozil, ox and the other no,10s in the game.
Oh and btw I know some people here like Castor Troy feel that Walcott can do that and has better end product but Im struggling to be convinced by Theo this season. He is playing well within himself to actually do what we think he is capable of.

Silva reminds me of this:

Mr C
The description actually suits Silva's style of football very well (as well as being a legendary quote too).

Only Mata ahead of Silva in goals and assists total since 2011/12 season. Yaya Toure has impressive numbers.
