ENGLANDS NUMBER ONE

Just seen on the Town website that Alex Smithies has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2018.

Personally, I think that is a very good move by the club.

Yes he has made some howlers in his time, but so have all the players.
its just that when its Smithies it usually results in a goal for the opposing team.
People are quick to jump on him and sometimes forget the saves he has made to keep us in a game. he did one last night when it was still 1-0, had that gone in, totally different complexity to the game, crowd on their backs, etc, etc.

Good news !!
