He had one shot and took it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And you think it's enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Compared to Giroud's 6 shots, no goals....

Look back at those chances and imagine a Suarez or similar in that position. We were in for Suearez, and when we didnt get him we gave up. Not Girouds fault, he just isnt that good. Wenger decided he would be good enough. Wenger was wrong. Subbing Giroud tonight was Wenger admitting it. High price to pay though.

Nope, he just isn't good enough. Mentally for big games he is fecked. Can always tell he is under pressure to want to prove. Through his comments too, it's easy to spot. Elite strikers thrive under pressure, he fails.

GT, can you still not see that Giroud isnt good enough? He had chances tonight, although you seem to think he didnt even them which is worse. A striker should be getting in positions to have a chance and take them. By your own argument he does neither, at least the rest of us think he got in place to have a few chances even though he is not good enough to finish them.

We will win 2nd leg 2-0 and AW will come up with crap saying away goals rule should be scraped blah blah
We had small chance until sucker punch in the last minute.

Thing is, Arsenal fans moan and whinge about Wenger, but in reality all but a select few of their fans think the exacr same way as him.
I saw comments on this thread like "their (Monaco's) left back looks ****", I saw comments from the game like "they don't have any players that can threaten us". In fact I see comments from Arsenal fans saying "(insert team name here) don't have any players that would get in our team" - I guarantee Wenger looks at the opposition and thinks the exact same way, because Arsenal play as a bunch of individuals and this is exactly how most Arsenal fans view football as well. They don't realise that teams like Monaco may function better as a unit than Arsenal which is why they can produce a performance like last night to overcome the fact that Arsenal supposedly have better individuals
