Remaining PL fixtures....

just looking at the remaining fixtures suggests:

1) Chelsea will win PL-only 4 or so tough fixtures:
2) Man c-a slightly easier fixture list-but 5 pts behind-so likely to remain 2nd
3) Le Arssn-unless they crack after meekly bowing out to Monaco-should get 3rd
4) 4th very much up for grabs-with Man U and Soton and Liverpool having some horrendous fixtures. Eight of Man u remaining 12 games can be regarded as tough. Spurs have a decent fixture list-but we know our capacity to snatch defeats from victory.

so if the manager and the players want it badly, 4th is very much up for grabs. but we know these games are won or lost on the pitch and not on JA606

I fear win or lose on Sunday it will take it out of us and the players and we will limp the the finish line - probably 7th.

The carling cup is a massive distraction, don't get me wrong I want us to 100% win it now we are there but next season I would prefer focus on the Europa or the FA cup - bit more prestiges, exciting and at the end of the season so can't distract us!

Keeping our 13 or 14 players fit who have played consistently well or to a standard in our big leagues so far this season will be the key to success.

I think we will fail to make the top 4 and finish 5th or 6th. Better to have low expectations but plenty of points to play for. Just the 36

I would prefer focus on the Europa or the FA cup - bit more prestiges,

Spurs last three opponents in the League Cup Final have been Chelsea, Man United, Chelsea, cannot get much more high profile games than that. Or would you prefer the FA Cup where recent finals mean you could be meeting teams like Wigan and Hull.

So you would rather win the league cup over the Europa or FA Cup?

Personally I can't see the difference between the FA and League cups. The FA is held in higher regard for some reason, maybe due to its history, maybe as it's played at the end of the season and is more of a showcase match, or maybe because the media pays it more attention, but in terms of achievement there really isn't a difference.

The FA Cup used to be the biggest cup competition in the world, but now it is no different a level as the League Cup. Most teams play weakened teams right up to the latter stages. The Europa Cup is the same.
