Best part of 60m Euros for the pair of these players.
Soldado seems like a great guy who cares about what he is doing and the fans, and he is liked by the majoirty. BUT last night is the final nail in his career at Spurs IMO.
Last week scored a cracking goal, and he has done so on several occasions when you think...ok, he's scored he should get some confidence back and we'll see the real Soldado. But this week he looked lacking confidence and that botched pass to Chadli typifies his career at Spurs.
In his early days he simply was not getting the chances, he was isolated & thus ineffective. Now he does not have that excuse.
Sorry Roberto but a parting in the summer is inevitable and i think he will be as disappointed for the fans as we are fr him that it dd not work out. He tried but it was not good enough, No hard feelings.
Lamela. Last season was a write-off. Slowly introduced to the team before AVB got sacked and then Tim refused to play anyone who he didnt create through his own genius in our academy and then injury ruling him out. This season he has had plenty of chances. He started the season looking confident. Plenty of skillful touches and you hoped he would adjust and start delivering end product.
His confidence now also looks shot and in recent games he has been totally ineffectual. He looks fine, usually, up to the last third but he delivers nothing at that end of the pitch.
I am not sure we can go another season with him taking that left side bearth.
We need to cut our losses on both but will be lucky to get back even half of what was paid, so bad is their form.

Chronic - I agree re. Pritchard and his development. I'm just pointing out that I'd rather rely on the likes of Pritchard than buy another Paulinho.

oh yeah I agree with that, but paulinho is a waste of time. hes rubbish. probably the signing I am most disappointed with.

So would I. But let`s be fair we were all jumping through hoops when we signed all those players. Anybody who says otherwise is a liar. Spurs are certainly not the only club that have been absolutely stung on overseas flops.

No levy doesn't have a crystal ball that's true
But baldini is paid to spot players and ones that will come good, especially for that money
Any fool can spend 73m on some flops. Baldini is paid to NOT do that!

And the fact lamela player for Roma where baldini has connections stinks too, don't know how he got that transfer past levy tbh, 25-30m for a young untested player in premier league?

Especially if you consider our three 'record signings' would've paid for about 20% of our new stadium, which in turn generates another 100million of revenue per annum ...
