If only....

It's my opinion we need stability at the club and it's especially important at the moment considering we're going to be losing a few players in the summer and under an embargo. It ties our hands to a certain degree and the earlier we can start planning for next season the better.

Dealing with not getting relegated this season was the first think to take care of!! We can concern ourselves with long term planning when we know we've consolidated our championship status. So it seems Ray whilst everyone else is happy that DF saved us from the very real prospect of relegation you're more worried about long term planning!!! Continuing in the same vein as he has I have no doubt DF will be rewarded with a longer deal, Fawaz is itching for success, DF is itching to succeed and he'll know our squad limitations and youth development coming through even better come May.

We have 50 points and another 5 should be enough for feeling reasonably confident at avoiding the trap door. You would expect that although the immediate goals are x, y and z that the wheels are in motion regarding what is to happen over the summer.

We've got a way to go in the season so far and you'd hope that we can end positively but I do have some nagging doubts that we could quite easily switch again.

Is the main issue here that I have some concerns about the position we're in still and I'm not singing FAH praises at every opportunity possible?

But, whichever way it goes, the position regarding Freedman should be covered. So it's all good.

I'm not singing Fawaz's praises either, and I agree anything can happen on that front. I am just saying that the position regarding the manager looks to be a better move than Fawaz was given credit for earlier on.

I think I said this before the Reading game on here but although you get a new manager bounce fairly often (not all the time in our case) he seems to have not only squeezed out results but better performances than we've generally seen this season. Even though Britt got injured during his second game in charge.
