Tottenham and Liverpool have got reasons...

to be optimistic.

Jokes aside. They will be fine. If both teams can build on what they're trying to do so far. Particularly if they can keep the cream of their squads together, then next season is going to be tight for top 4.

I'm even gonna be bold enough (most would say foolish) to say come March next season the title race will be between more than 2 teams. I expect up to 4 teams to still be within a realistic shout and it won't filter down to 2 teams until April-ish.

Before I'm dismissed. Surely the penny is gonna drop with Wenger eventually? And I can't imagine Spurs and Pool not strengthening in the Summer.

United? Surely they won't be as erratic next season and they're currently in the top 4.

Ourselves? Can you really see us taking such a dip in form that we won't be challenging?

Every team finds reasons to be optimistic. Doesn't always work out for the better.

I think Liverpool have more reason to be optimistic of the two, they’ve got some talented young players and I’ve been particularly impressed with Can and was surprised to learn he is just 21. Courtinho is a brilliant talent and I think Markovic will settle in to a very good player.

Liverpool profited from PSGs lavish spending and picked up the surplus Sakho, Miglonet has put a shaky start behind him, Henderson is taking more responsibility then you’ve got some pace and goals in Sturridge and Sterling.

I think they need to replace Gerrard carefully and add a quality striker but with some smart moves I think they’ve got a good chance at top three next season.

Tottenham are harder to judge for me, I think they made a decent appointment and with time he could prove successful but a lot is down to Kane who has been superb, their defence still doesn’t convince but looking at the table they’ve got everything to play for, it will be really interesting to see what they do in the summer because there is work to be done.

Liverpools problem is they keep grabbing latino players, and these guys all seem to want to go to real or Barca. I think Liverpools biggest issue in the summer will be keeping Courtinho.

Said yesterday to a friend that at the moment imo CFC have the best first XI, City the best squad and Liverpool the best XI + subs. And 100% agree with seeing at least Liverpool in the mix for the title next year if they can keep all their players and offload Mario for a good/decent striker. Spurs need to find some consistency its not good enough just getting it up once in a while to beat a rival, you need to do it week in and week out against everybody, but they have a young team so may come good if not next season the season after.

Tottenham don't have anywhere near the quality of the Liverpool squad at the moment imo.

Coutinho has just signed a five year contract and I'm pretty sure he is loving it here. He may well go but I severely doubt it'll be in the summer. FSG have shown they're not easily bullied in this regard. I'll feel a lot better when Sterling signs.

Liverpool look really dangerous imo. A really young exciting team. Coutinho's a brilliant little player, he'll reach Silva's level soon enough.

I think we will win the title next season - it will probably be as straight forward as us winning it this season. We are easily the best team in England and I expect us to build on our success this term.
