I haven't always been an old shed boy and started going to Tanny with my grandad in the early 60's.
Since then there's been good times (Scottish cup wins), great times (the McLean years), bad times (the Brewster years) and plenty of indifferent years.
Being an eternal pessimist I never expect to beat Celtic (or Rangers in the olden days) and didn't really expect much from the next three games.
But given Celtic's recent form and the shambles now evident at Tannadice I have serious concerns that we might end up on the receiving end of three fair old tankings..
If Celtic score early in any of the games then I dread to think what the results might end up.
I saw one prediction of 12 -1 which I hope was for all three games.
I fear it'll be worse than that.
Any solace we got from the spirited fightback against ICT rapidly evaporated against Partick.
Unbelievable that we're going into two important cup games against Celtic (or anybody for that matter) and we don'y have a clue what team he'll put out.
Should the worst happen Jackie's future will no doubt come under severe scrutiny. If it isn't already.
C'mon Jackie make me eat my words.
United v Celtic x 3.

Whilst losing Armstrong & GMS will obviously have an impact, it shouldn't mean that our current players just lose all ability. I wonder if some of them have been using it as an excuse to let their form drop, as the fans and media have made such a huge deal over it. Same could maybe be said for the manager.

Unfortunately, everything points to three heavy defeats.
Losing Nadir was the final loss of optimism for me regarding Sunday. Celtic are playing very well and we are very poor just now. I would love to be wrong, but can't see anything other than three defeats on the bounce

I'm an eternal optimist, maybe this is just what the players need (a break from the league) nobody expected us to beat Celtic before Xmas but we did. The same can be said for the semi final against Aberdeen, especially after we went 1-0 down.
I know our form has dipped, but its a one off cup game and worse teams than us have beat Celtic in recent years to lift the cup. You just need to look at the FA cup down south this year.
Although JMacs constant rotating doesn't seem to be helping anyone Will Ciftci still miss the 1/4 final??

I thought we we're appealing this week? Surely they can't just pick and chose who to ban, seems ridiculas. What about McCullochs elbow and stamps?? There's an incindent like that in every game FFS.

I like the look of the big pole at the back for DUFC

WCA, the hearing is on Thursday. The ban will be reduced to one game and he will still miss the QF.

Like I said, if we win either cup game, I'll be over the moon even a draw 1st game would be a decent start.
Wonder when the last time we beat Celtic twice in the same season was??
If we could only win one, I'd take the first cup game

Utd have taken in millions and just as a team are about to emerge they sell for massive profit. Guess what happens are Parkhead? Not sure I'f Utd reinvest. They are not in a bad place.
