Man United
Massive club. Massive manager with a massive forehead. Massive spending last summer £150m . 2nd season without CL would lose them massive revenues from sponsors in addition to missing out on the CL gravy train.
Would effect spending on what is a squad which needs some serious additions, despite the £150m already spent.
LVG possibly face the sack if he fails.
Liverpool
First time back in the big time this season for a number of seasons. Big club who expect to be at the top table.
Manager who has spent quite a lot over his 3 seasons, although they are making clear progress, so missing out would be more of a disappointment than a disaster.
BRs job not under threat, and still the possibility of the FA Cup too.
Spurs
First season under yet another regime, but this time it feels a bit different.
Poch was given a 5 year deal, which is unusual for Spurs and a signal that they are now prepared to be patient. Therefore may be an appreciation that the CL is not the top priority.
Clear progress being made by the manager and still plenty of changes needed to the squad before he can be properly judged.
Top 4 would be a bonus if achieved and slightly disappointing if not.
Pochettino job not under any threat
Saints
Saints probably happy to be top half, given the expectations at the start of the season.
Had a fine season and still in with a real chance of top 4. Anything inside top 6 would be fantatsic for them and a best ever in the EPL
No pressure on them or Koeman whatsoever.
Arsenal look well placed to get 3rd and have the easiest set of fixtures remaining.
So pressure looks to be firmly on Manchester United whom, by the way, have Spurs(h) Liverpool(a) City(h) Chelsea(a) Everton (a) Arsenal (h) still to come
Who needs top 4 more....

I am not saying nothing of the sort that relegation is better than wnning the CL. I am arguing that the money is not as great as a lot of tou think. The top teams in the CL are paying ridiculous wages, so most of the money if not all they get even if they win the CL is completely swallowed up by ridiculously high wages.

But Sandy is pretty stupid, Nick
I think it is you that needs to get your brain in order with a comment like that. I would wager I know a bit more about the game than you do.

Anyway, 90 per cent of teams survive very well without CL football, so not the be all and end all of football.

CL money in addition to your league prize money is the same as having a job paying well enough to enable you to pay your mortgage, as well as receiving rental income from a buy-to-let property. You're able to get by without the extra income, but those extras allows you to be more extravagant with your spending.

Which is to fund maintenance and repairs on both properties.
So, where's the profit?

Man united, Liverpool and arsenal will battle it out for 3rd, 4th and 5th in my opinion.
