Just seen this article in today's Telegraph I thought he was playing well since he returned from injury but not that well.
Mesut Ozil has run further than any Arsenal player since returning to the side – so why is he called lazy?
Since his first league start after injury against Aston Villa, no Arsenal player has covered as much ground as the much-maligned midfielder
Mesut Ozil’s languid style has drawn criticism from supporters and pundits, but since his return from injury, no Arsenal player has eaten up as many yards as the German midfielder.
Looking at Premier League stats since and including the 5-0 home win against Aston Villa on February 1, Ozil has led the way for his side in terms of distance covered.
Ozil also ran more than any Arsenal player in the 3-1 Champions League defeat by Monaco, clocking up 11.38 kilometres.

Bergkamp was far more aggressive than Ozil. Sneaky, borderline thuggery at times.

Not quite costa level Jenius. He wasn't afraid to elbow a defender or leave his foot in but costa is on another level

I remember his elbows and his stamps.
I would describe Dennis as the middle class version of Diego. We miss that will to win.

Ozil does a lot more to turn defence into attack than people give him credit for. He does have a laid back style of playing which some people misjudge as meaning he doesn't do anything.

Ozil is a ninja. Only those who really understand football appreciate Ozil. All the rest are weirdly gazing at players to watch their 'body language' and wanting them to be more aggressive etc. Homo-eroticism doesnt interest me, I am just a world class expert on great football, and Ozil is a great footballer.

mate he was abysmal in the FA cup final, 0 out of 10. It's not Ozil laziness that is the problem it's that he doesn't do much in general play in a lot of games. He's been nowhere near Madrid form so his fan boys trying to make out he's been amazing don't do him any favours.

Solutions - Ozil thrives on giving through balls to runners in behind opposition lines. He won't thrive with a front line of himself, Sanchez and GGiroud, ie one that does not have at least Walcott in it.
