Personally, I would've clothes-railed a few of the blighters!

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened to the players if someone had of swung a punch at them and they retaliated. Would they have faced a ban?

I think if the players were genuinely under threat of violence then they would've had every right to defend themselves even if it meant decking the odd idiot.

Fact is, the police and stewards failed to protect the players so, if necessary, they were within their rights to take matters into their own hands.

Fortunately they were only subject to goading (as far as I know) and things didn't get out of hand.

Lovely trip by Morrison though. Just about the only bit of decent play by an Albion player on Saturday!

To be fair to the police and stewards, there was 36,000 at the game. If the majority of them want to run onto the pitch either during or at the end of the game, there's not a lot they can do about it.
