United are contesting the Ciftci ban offer.
I don't understand that at all. He clearly kicked out and it's a clear suspension.
We're wasting our time with that.

Curly, I think I'm probably using the wrong word in saying that he is appealing the offer of a ban.
By refusing it he is then summoned to a hearing and after that I don't think there is a right to appeal.

We should know who is available for the next 3 games by tomorrow evening.
Right now it's:
Sunday banned - Cifti (definitely) Paton (will be rescinded) VVD (who knows)
Wednesday replay banned - Dixon (definitely) Johansen (definitely) VVD (who knows) Cifti (probably)
Then everyone apart from Cifti is he is banned will be available again for the league game

What is going to be Ciftci's case for an argument? Seriously?

So basically instead of being banned you get an offering nowadays?

Murney, yes
rnr, I suspect United might be doing a bit of brinkmanship, if you're going to let vvd off then you have to let Ciftci off too to counter Celtics brinkmanship on if you're letting Butcher off you have to let vvd off.
Can't see it working.

You've probably got it there Ivan. If they're going to rescind van Dijk's red card, then banning Çiftçi looks very dodgy. Both kicked a player on the ground, both deserve to be punished.
Unfortunately the SFA have no problem looking dodgy.

As far as I'm concerned just now Van Dijk and Ciftci will be banned so a line should be drawn under it.
If VVD is being banned then so should Butcher but we know why he can't be punished for it so let's just move on.
Ciftci is the only one coming out of the whole incident looking bad
