The Scott Brown challenge.

Firstly -
Every United supporter I've spoken to agree Ciftci should have been red carded and deserved to be cited.

Every United supporter I've spoken to think Brown's tackle was reckless and dangerous and he should have been off as well.

The reasonable Celtic supporters on here don't totally disagree but suggest a yellow would have been enough.

The ref, given his performance, probably didn't know what happened and did nothing.

That for me is the end of it.

Absolutely no way that the Compliance Officer should be involved in any decision involving tackles which are part and parcel of the game.
Sole arbitrator has to be the referee.

If we're being honest much of the outrage isn't really about the tackle but the player involved.

If it wasn't Scott Brown but say Bitton no one would be getting hot under the collar about it.

Too many faux offended at Broonie

There probably is truth to the fact that it is being maybe slightly overplayed because it's Brown, but then if it had been Bitton or any other Celtic player then I'd imagine a foul would have been given and a card produced.

I think the way leniency is given to Brown by officials in this country makes it a bigger issue than it probably should have been.

Both have previous so can understand each support having a go.

Personally I love games like this, so leave both alone and let them get on with the game.
