Anyone who hasn't read the Discworld series really should give them a go. Brilliantly written, satirical and hilarious.
Terry Pratchett R.I.P.

You really should read them.
Didn't think they would be for me, really not my genre (so I thought), but a good mate insisted and gave me the first one (The Colour of Magic). Cracked me up and got me totally hooked.
I would implore anyone with a decent sense of humour to try them.

R.I.P Terry Pratchett. Amazing writer.
It's a of a disease, that will hopefully get the attention it needs.

"Some pirates achieved immortality by great deeds of cruelty or derring-do. Some achieved immortality by amassing great wealth. But the captain had long ago decided that he would, on the whole, prefer to achieve immortality by not dying."
Sir Terry Pratchett achieved immortality through his writing. R.I.P.

Never got round to reading his work, but he must have been a very busy man and selling 3m books a year at his heigh is some feat.
Terrible way to spend your last few years, but his charity/awareness work will help many in the future
