Ladies and gentlemen of all ages, welcome to the Australian GP race thread. For the first time since 2009, we have a world champion we can be proud of. Formula 1 is back baby!!! Seems like yesterday, our Lewis crossed the finishing line and God Save the Queen was played and the tears flowed from my eyes at finally having a worthy world champion since the last one Jenson Button.
In time, it is our hope that the FIA remove the titles won from 2010 – 2014 as they were fraudulent. So we start a new season with everyone making developments, livery changes, and driver changes. Someone needs to tell Van der Garde that what he is doing will ensure he gets no race seat in the future.
It looks like the Mercedes team will be dominant again and like a proper racing team they will let their drivers’ race, so hopefully we see more races like Bahrain, Brazil and Suzuka as opposed to Monaco and Spa.
As usual, you can read all the fun stuff from www.formula1.com. I will update the thread with the most recent results from the FP sessions and qualifying.

Hornet is losing the plot. It obviously isn't just the power unit that is giving Mercedes such an advantage. The aerodynamics must also be playing a BIG part. Any 'equlisation' of power units by reducing Merc power would penalise 3 teams, would not effect Ferrari, and wouldn't help Renault or Honda.

People really do have short memories.
After dominating the sport with aero and mediocre drivers, he has started whining.
He should look at what Ferrari have done. The clown

He wasn't complaining when Red Bull were dominating and cheating

Flexi wings were always illegal though, all that changed was the way they measured them. DD was a loophole abused against what the rules were meant to achieve.
Mercedes have just done a better job, simple as that.
