Martinez next United manager?

I remember this time last year that people said Martinez improved Everton in ways that Moyes never could. That the Everton fans were finally eating steak after years of dog food.

The guy is a genius. He's brought entertainment into Everton matches in a way Moyes didn't. I mean, okay, the entertainment is usually seeing Everton concede goals rather than scoring them and, sure, finishing 6th or 7th most seasons is in no way as fun as finishing 14th.

I would like to put forward (if we finish 5th) the idea of Martinez becoming our next manager. He'd at the very least be able to improve our defence. I hear he's good at that.

I know you doubt it, that means nothing though

Glad we got that sorted then.

I'd be surprised if they filled it but it's the increased ticket prices that will boost their income.

Plus naming rights, which could potentially be combined with a kit sponsor like City and Arsenal did, so there's another huge financial boost.

They have some good deals for executive boxes for as little as £500.

For the Olympic Stadium?

Yeah, they had something in the Evening Standard a few weeks back where you could pay £500 and get some club hospitality thing for the first season. Watch the game from the exclusive bar.

Oh right, I didn't think they'd even started selling tickets.

Either way they won't sell it out but they'll get more in the long and short from the stadium.

What I haven't been able to find out is whether or not West Ham get the money for events staged there, such as concerts, and the the athletics.

I wouldn't have thought so, though.

I live literally across the road from the Olympic stadium. HUGE regeneration of the whole area. Used to be a shitthole. Now not bad and so many people will fill out that stadium.

You being evicted soon then?

To be fair the other day Moyes had Sociedad set up with a playmaker behind 2 strikers and his side beat Sevilla 4-3 in a real thriller.

He inherited a squad cut out to play attacking football. Give him a few transfer windows. But credit to him for that performance.

Darren, I know it was tongue-in-cheek, but even Chelsea.

So you lot all turning on Martinez now then. You seemed pretty happy with him last season.

As for Moyes didn't he finish very low in the table a few times as Everton manager.
