I heard Smalling smashed his teeth in, stole his identity online and cleared out his bank account and raped his cat. You can see why Ballo reacted the way he did.

I thInk you may be mistaking him for Balotelli standing around with his thumb up his own back passage. Easy mistake.

Whilst my brothers comments are a little severe - his point remains true.
The most senior player in the squad should have been the last player on the pitch to get a red card.
The importance of this game (both in terms of points and psychology) was massive and he effectively handed the result to them.
Whilst it's not overt, I genuinely believe that the top 4 opportunity is lost and that the chance to keep Man Utd out of Europes premier competition for another year is over.
The only chance we have of overhauling the likes of United is to keep them from getting the influx of CL revenue.
Regardless of Gerrards incident, the team weren't up for it today. We were outbattled and deserved to lose.
A very disappointing end to a good run.
