Regardless of Giroud's form we are still in need of a top bracket CF imo. People that think we're okay with what we've got in Giroud will realise how better off we are when we have a complete top quality CF up front.
Our level would seriously elevate to unseen levels in attack. Giroud is in great form and I've grown to love him mainly due to his attitude more than anything... in a world where you have the likes of Merts not caring whatsoever about the club one can't fault OG's passion and desire, it helps that he's in great form too of course.
One of my issues with Giroud is I've never felt he's been unplayable even on his day, WHU last week the closest but I'm talking Suarez vs Norwich, Aguero vs Bayern, Henry vs Leeds. Where not only are they scoring 3+ goals but are absolutely torturing the opposition over the whole 90.
I don't feel Giroud does this although he's improved his goal scoring in the big games he hasn't improved his overall performance in them for me still frustrating for large periods. He's a good striker and it'd be incredibly harsh to fault him this season but we could really go up a level with a world/top class striker.
You'd probably have been satisfied with Theo last year but then after seeing Alexis' capabilities you realise the contrast between a good player and a world class one, half this board want Walcott sold now (I'm not one them btw).
Expect GT to ask for a list if he sees this so I'd say
Benzema (if possible). Great link-up play as well as the ability to produce something special
Cavani, yes overrated but he's still an upgrade and has the skill set to be a hit here. Money my only concern here as he's 28.
Sturridge if L'pool miss out on top 4 and want Theo we should look to benefit from this as well after all he is a gooner like Theo is a Liverpool fan. Not world class yet but certainly has the potential to be.
Aguero, yes unrealistic but City are on the slide with this current crop and don't think Sergio fancies going to Real as an Atletico man and Barca have Suarez therefore it's worth an expression of interest I think the player might actually consider. Forget the money I really think our future is brighter than City's.
Dybala at least has the potential to be world class and can play across the front 3. Has that bit of magic to his game.
Just the top of my head
Still Need A TOP, TOP Striker

So Dubbed put your biased opinion about Giroud aside and face the facts.
Fact is that the guy is momentary one of the best strikers in the PL.

I never once claimed Benzema was clinical. But the guy's a top player. As for him going games without scoring goals. Firstly I'm taking your word for it. Secondly players go games without scoring. Bale being a recent example. Must be rubbish then.
Giroud ain't half the player Benzema is.
I'm not even gonna bother discussing Giroud with you GT for obvious reasons. You''re lodged so far up the man's ass it's not even funny.

Did I discuss with you over Giroud? You have your pic of a proper striker in your head. If someone doesnt fit your picture he is cack for the sake of it allthough stats tells you otherwise. You really need to look beyond it and leave your bias opinion aside for once

You have double standards

Giroud is not rubbish. He's a rotation/backup material. Decent player.
Makes me laugh seeing act like just Aguero or Suarez are superior out there. And look down your nose on the likes of Cavani. And even laughably Ibra.
There are plenty of players out there who'd cause damage up front for Arsenal. More so than Giroud.
Hardly double standards. Giroud's general play is ok. But it is extremely overrated. The guy is very wasteful. Benzema is just a much better player.

His conversion rate is one of the best, Dubbed. You cant deny that.
Cavani is an overrated and overprized player. Do you watched him over a few games?
The problem you have with Giroud is that you cant compare him to any other CF. His development under Wenger is immense.
It's true when he first came to Arsenal I thought he could develop into the direction of Drogba....
The truth he is complete different to him.
Anyway dont want to debate or convince you that he developed into more than a second striker at Arsenal.
Wenger decides at the end of the day.

used both players only as an example though. Surely they are more natural talented footballers out there than Giroud.

When the going gets tough Giroud will let us down like at Monaco. The guy's a mental midget.

Giroud is actually one of our players who steps up the most now, he was getting slated and was never really liked by Arsenal fans so to improve so much and start winning the fans round shows a really strong attitude. He's become a beast for us with the way he battles up front and in defence for us, immense work rate and team ethic. The way he dealt with the disappointment and criticism after Monaco and then go on a scoring run straight away shows his character.

Think you underestimate him here.
When Sanchez arrived some saying he would replace OG. When Welbeck arrived ....the same.
When he had the night off against Monaco people were on his case again. The guy recovered and answered quickly, Dubbed. And btw he wasnt the only who failed that night badly. Give him at least some credit. For a 12M player that played in the third french Leaue 5 years ago he has done well.
