I might be a little biased, but CH played fantasically well today I thought. Contained Jarvis really well and almost chipped in with a goal to get us the three points. If we don't bring in another right back to replace Young (WHY was he sold?), he can do the job I feel. But would rather we got an experienced RB to replace Young and have Herd as backup. Looks like one for the future.

He did play well.
As for the rest of the team... It was like pulling teeth watching that game! Lack of basic footballing tactics.
no quick movement on or off the ball,
no quick switch of play. Just an aimless hoof when we are in a congested area.
Heskeys short range passing is awful for a pro footballer.
Not even a clear chance created against a below average wolves side.
We need a good kick up the ar*e for when we finally play a decent prem side.
Eck is killing us! no tactical ideas what so ever.
I havnt been that bored watching us at home since O'leary.

It's good on ja606, the sheep aren't here to defend, defend, defend! And of course, I mean defend the mgt/board like the robots they are; ze must obey! Eck is showing his true boring colours. Curtis Davies is right, Eck footy is dross. And yes, I'd rather have Chris Hughton as well. All that 'proven mgr' nonsense that RL dreamt up has landed us with the elegance and elan of a combine harvester.

Typical Mcleish performance, he always starts the game slow but takes control after half time. I think you had a good spell for 20 minutes in the second half but as it died off Mcleish should of put on Albrighton then. You'll be a hard to beat team this season but expect games to play out like that. N'Zogbia had a very average game but I'm sure when he is on a good game (like Mcfadden did for us) then the system you played will work out.

You're right. Fresh legs, fresh ideas. He should have shoved Delfouneso on for Heskey at the same time. If Heskey hasn't scored after 60 minutes he's not going to, or do much else.
There's a lack of fluidity at the moment. Last season Ash was breaking forward and getting that killer pass to Bent, in a way that's not happening at the moment. N'Zogbia's taking time to bed in but that could be expected; he's also probably not yet 100% match fit either, maybe needs a couple of more games.
Heskey may be OK for pressurising the defence in the earlier stages of the match, but Eck needs to work on the alternatives; Bannan, Albrighton, Delfouneso and Wiemann. The existing starting line up may get us some valuable points early on in the season, but it's predictable and won't take us far.
