I've just seen over on not606 that Jack Cork is set to sign for us for £1 million and with a wage of £15,000 per week.

This was my comment on that thread...
£15,000 is ok, as i've said before, it will like signing two players with his versatility and I could see him being a future captain of Saints and possibly an England player which would make what we are paying for him peanuts. He is an investment for the future and we will be getting the best years out of him, hopefully, IF he signs of course.

The difference being that St Mary's occasionally filled to its capacity of approx 32,000 in league 1, whereas Pompey really struggled to fill Fratton Park to its capacity of 17,000 (or there-abouts) whilst in the Premiership.

Dont forget pompey have some money now,spinning the ground around will add another 4,000 . So thats 8,000 empty seats every home game
