It should be a source of pride that four of

Spurs academy players, Rose, Townsend, Mason and Kane have all been picked for the England squad for the up and coming Internationals. OK they may not all be world beaters, but I don`t see too many other clubs having too many academy players breaking through into their first XI, and then getting picked for the England squad. The future is looking very bright if Spurs are able to keep producing as they are. Long may it continue.

I wish there were no spurs players in the squad, or any other international squad for that matter.

Good luck to them. being called up to England actually sends an amazing message to our academy and young players coming through. So I welcome it..next up Pritchard and Onomah.

The only thing we can't offer is Champions league but at least we offer Cup finals, Europa League and England Caps.

Not bad for a team without a ridiculous wage budget or Oil and Gas money or a stadium over 37,000.

COYS!!

The back pages today are all about Kane...no pressure!

I really feel for this young lad. He is doing wonderfully well and we have every reason to be thankful we have him. But you just know how much this country and the media and fans love to put someone on the pedestal only to knock them down again given half the chance.

Shame.

There's no reason why England should be too much pressure for him to handle given the hype over him throughout the season and the way he's just been getting on with it.

Only fear of him not doing well for England is if we don't play to his strengths, and know what England are like...

Kane seems pretty level headed. I think he'll cope with the media circus. Plus, unlike Townsend, he has a lot of talent and has already proven himself at a higher level.

Yeah, rather have this message than Les's "One day you will play for Real Madrid" one.

I can remember being in the minority when saying I think its vital we have a strong British core.

We went the other way under AVB and when Baldini came in, but it was a mistake, one we look to be trying to reverse now.

Henderson will get a tummy ache and Sterling will stub his toe. Sturridge complaining of hip discomfort - so nothing that might necessarily show up on a scan then. Poor lamb. More like a huge bonus for CL qualification against the rather smaller appearance fee for turning out for your country.

Money on Henderson getting a gut ache?

And tonight's lottery numbers will be 16,32,48....
