I have just checked in for the first time after returning from my travels overseas. Despite the extornionate cost and shocking download speed in Cuba and the Caribbean (on land and at sea) I was cheering on the Brewers online.
We beat Accrington 3-0. That made for a very good evening for me.
We beat Southend 2-1. An even happier evening.
We beat Tranmere 4-1. This result has me recording on paper from memory the 24 teams in League 1 as I get presumptuous about promotion and start planning for next season !
Last night I got to read the match reports about the 3 games and watch the goals online. All I had known until then were the results and the scorers. I read of / saw late winners, sendings off, injuries and penalty saves. I even saw a really decent goal from Odejayi which added to the extremely bizarre goings on. I thought my pc was on the blink when I saw that.
Sad that I missed all the excitement but absolutely delighted with the results. I should go away more often if it brings 3 wins out of 3. How is the best way to get to Oldham?
Accrington, Southend and Tranmere

Welcome back Otep, I've visited Cuba many times and I know what you mean about the internet there
Particularly when you're trying to catch upon crucial football results.

Cheers guys. I plan to be at the next 8 games. I shall change my plans and go abroad if we fail to win in the first 4 ok.
I still can't work out how we could have beaten a very in-form Southend with 10 men and from being 1-0 down. If we had failed to capitalise on that opportunity in such a crucial game I would have been livid.
Putting your Brewers loyalties to one side, was it a sending off? Looking at it on You Tube the Pop Side would have got a good view of it.
That must have been some game. I was surprised and disappointed to see the low attendance
In the 3 games that I have missed we seem to have been on the wrong side of...
- Penalty decisions;
- A sending off, and;
- Some injuries.
...yet we still won each game.
Bury look to have a quite a nice run-in with regards their remaining games. They are the only club bothering me at present. An irritation rather than a major concern.
The simple fact is this though. We haven't conceded more than 1 goal in a league game since October. With a defence performing like that we could easily pick up something out of each of last 8 games. And we have scored 3, 2 and 4 in our last 3 games anyway.

Looking at our goal difference (+24) and that of Bury (+13), that is worth a point at present as well.
