Following on from an earlier thread about 'Pogba vs Verratti vs Kondogbia', whilst i accept he probably isn't in the same league (anywhere near in fact) with these guys but all the hype and gossip around William Carvalho seems to have gone really quiet!!
Does anyone know how he is playing at the moment, ad is he likely to get a big move this summer?
Carvalho?

Don't think he is what we need now we have Carrick and Blind

Well seeing as Carrick has probably 2-3 years left at the top level a replacement is needed soon.

I think that a player of that ilk would be useful. As good as Carrick has been, he has had his injuries this season and is getting older so may feature less in the coming seasons. I think Blind is useful to cover Carrick for an amount of games but not sure i would want to rely on him for a full season as he is a little light-weight. Just feel we need a but more of a physical presence in there especially if carrick is missing, and of course, eventually a replacement for Carrick hopefully.

Never seen him play. But I think people underestimate how difficult it will be to replace Carrick. The guys football intelligence is off the scale. Any old deep lying play maker won't do. Blind for example is good, but you notice the difference when Carrick isn't there.
Maybe Carvalho is that guy, I don't know. But our scouts need to be at their game for this one.

Agreed Bloodred, Carrick is going to be very hard to replace, Schweinsteiger could do a great job in that role if available, but he's 30 so would need replacing not long after Carrick anyway

This guy is slower than a "insert super slow thing", now that's not the be all and end all as Carrick and blind ain't blessed with pace but watching this guy he doesn't possess anything near the positional sense for a dm or the passing ability for a deep laying play maker for the fee being branded, hope we stay well clear
